Since then he has played more than 400 roles on the stage alone, including "Da" which he also filmed. Among his other roles are Polonius to Stacy Keach's "Hamlet", Dogberry in the New York Shakespeare Festival production of "Much Ado About Nothing" and off-Broadway performances in "Uncle Vanya" (directed by Mike Nichols ), "A Doll's House", "Hogan's Goat", "The Three Sisters", "The Devil's Disciple" and "Translations".
On Broadway, he appeared in the hit play "Prelude to a Kiss" after completing a run of "You Can't Take It With You" at Dublin's Abbey Theatre. On screen, he created his first big impact in "The Midnight Cowboy (1969)". Since then his films have included "Lost Boys (1987)", "The First Monday in October (1981)", "Tron (1982)" and "Hospital (1971)". It has been seventeen years now since Oscar and Felix saw each other for the last time. Oscar is living in Florida, Felix in New York. One day, Oscar is called by his son Brucey who invites him to his wedding to Felix' daughter Hannah next Sunday in California. Oscar and Felix meet again at Los Angeles International Airport and take a rental car in order to go to San Malina for the wedding. The trip develops into an odyssey, starting with Oscar forgetting Felix' suitcase at the Budget station, going over to the complete loss of the directions (and the car), several difficulties with the police, a dead person, a toupet, underwear and revenge-hungry Cowboys and ending up with Felix meeting the "one and only" woman. Hacker/arcade owner Kevin Flynn is desperate to prove that the hottest videogames from ENCOM were stolen from him by a former co-worker, who is now a senior executive there. Flynn's efforts, however, are made fruitless by ENCOM's "Big Brother," the megalomaniacal Master Control Program. One night, the MCP catches Flynn in an attempted hack and pulls him into the virtual world. Flynn finds that the MCP is making life in the virtual world just as, if not more, miserable as in the real world.
