As soon as she started talking, she told everyone that she was going to be an actress, dancer, singer and model, and has never changed her mind since. She began training to prepare for her big career goals at a young age, attending ballet and tap classes and a local studio, as well as taking private vocal lessons, participating in local children's theater and signing with an agent for commercial and modeling work. Terese was lucky enough to land her first professional modeling job at the age of two and her first professional acting job in a national commercial at the age of 5. She continued to work professionally as a child, appearing in numerous commercials and print ads. Terese's dance training continued at the national award-winning Dance Connection studios in Scottsdale, AZ. For years she attended classes several hours a day, 6 days a week, in addition to attending dance competitions and conventions on the weekends. Her dedication earned her success in receiving various awards, scholarships and titles. She landed her first professional dance job at the age of 8, portraying a young ballerina in a television commercial. She also had the pleasure of working, on a regular basis, with some of the best choreographers and master teachers in the country, such as; Dee Caspary, Tina Caspary, Brooke Lipton, Tina DiAmato, Mark Miesmer, Joey Dowling, and Doug Caldwell. In addition, she worked closely with and assisted famed choreographer Ray Leeper (Jump conventions, Off-Broadway hit "Innapropriate"). As a young teen, Terese continued working professionally as an actor and dancer, as well as perfecting her passions with private on-camera coaching and voice lessons. At age 15, Terese began teaching and assisting classes at her dance studio, and learned she had a strong passion for passing on her love of dance through teaching, as well. She went on to help choreograph regional and national award-winning numbers. In addition to assisting, teaching, choreographing and taking her own classes at Dance Connection, Terese attended high school at Arizona School for the Arts. There she received rigorous training in strict Russian-based ballet classes at Ballet Arizona, under the direction of Kee-Juan Han (originally from Boston Ballet). Terese re-located to Los Angeles at age 16 to further her performing career. She rigorously attended dance classes at the Edge Performing Arts Center and Millennium Dance Complex. At this time, she was signed to D.D.O. agency, one of LA's top dance, commercial and theatrical agencies, and continued her professional career. She has performed in music videos, commercials, and on television, including a performance on Live! With Regis and Kelly where she had the opportunity to work closely with resident choreographer Johnnie P. The performance was even nominated for a "Relli" award. Terese then spent two years performing for Norweigian Cruise Lines, in production shows all over the world where she was featured as a soloist. During her time performing with NCL, she was lucky enough to perform in Cameron Mackintosh's "Hey Mr. Producer!," straight from London's West End, as Tessie Tura (Gypsy), Oliver (Oliver!), Ado Annie (Oklahoma), as well as understudy the part of Christine (Phantom). The greatest honor was that Sir Cameron Mackintosh himself approved the casting. She later moved to Las Vegas to pursue another one of her goals, being a Vegas Showgirl. She performed in three shows during her time there, and was chosen as the lead dancer in two of them. Terese was also appointed as dance captain and asked to create choreography for new numbers added to the shows. While performing in Vegas, she was featured on the cover of Las Vegas Magazine, as well as in many internal articles, and in several additions of Robin Leach's "Vegas Popular" Blog. She was also highlighted in a segment on "Entertainment Tonight" as a featured Las Vegas dancer. While in Las Vegas she was also cast in a feature film, "Crazy Girls Undercover," where she played Suzy, a Vegas Showgirl moonlighting as an undercover crime fighter. After a great run in Vegas, Terese moved back to Los Angeles, the place she considers home. She continued working, and after a short time, a great opportunity arose for Terese to re-locate to New York City, which had long been a dream of hers. She took the chance, as it would allow her to pursue her biggest career goal; performing on Broadway! Having been in NYC just a short time, she has already been cast in a horror film titled "The Pick Up," as Candy, as well as being accepted into the Actors Project NYC, a prestigious theater group that performs multiple showcases and original plays in Off-Broadway theaters each year. Terese is excited to see what kind of other offers the Big Apple will have for her in '09. T hide |
